Cory is a fan: I Am Acrylic

I mentioned a few posts ago how my items are now being sold in the cutest little handmade shop in Islington, London called In With The Old (http://www.inwiththeoldme.com/).  The shop also sells a number of handmade sellers items including the owners own range of upcycled and reclaimed treasures!

As well, the shop features another maker(s): Brendan and Ruth at I Am Acrylic sell acrylic jewellery featuring rockets, stars, planets, and sweet little birds.  I'm sure their jewellery will do successfully there!

New items: single books!

I thought I'd share some of my new items!  They feature single books, not a whole bookshelf ;)  I also was able to experiment with beads in the necklaces - and use my new tiny pink round nosed pliers!  I may become a beadaholic like a lot of other crafters if this keeps up, so I better be careful ;)  Here are some of my new items:

English Rose Necklace, £15

English Rose Cuff Bracelet, £15

English Rose Ring, £15

Ancient Book Ring, £15

Ancient Book Necklace, £15

My photography is getting better, but I still have a ways to go - I think my biggest hurdle is forcing myself to take photos BEFORE the sun starts setting.  That's usually when I rush to take them all :)  I need more light!!

In other news, I just figured out that my shop url is also http://www.coryographies.etsy.com/ - that would look much nicer on my business cards than www.etsy.com/shop/coryographies!!  Oh well, I'll remember for next time... :)

April Giveaway!

As promised (though a little late!) I'm starting a new giveaway on my blog for some lovely items!  This time the winner of the draw from my magic hat will receive:

My Antique Bookshelf Necklace (on sale this month!) and matching pair of book earrings in navy blue!  I will make the findings on the bookshelf silver instead of gold so that it matches the earrings better :) (I find a lot of people request silver anyway!)

There are two ways to enter the draw and you can do both for double your chances!

1) By Twitter: go to my shop and tweet your favourite item.  Then copy that tweet in a comment on this post so I know you voted! (one vote)

2) By Facebook: go to my shop and 'like' your favourite item.  Then post a comment on this post letting me know you 'liked' something on Facebook!

The draw will take place on May 6th, so all comments must be made on this post by May 5th!

And anyone can participate!  If you won my last draw, that's fine!  If you know me or don't know me, that's fine!  If you knew me in elementary school and we haven't spoken since, that's fine too!  I'll ship your prize at my own cost, wherever you live (as long as there's some sort of postal service!!)

So away my pretties, off to my shop, and share what you like!

New Craft Shop!

I promised to share the link to In With The Old, the new craft shop in London I'm selling in, as soon as I had the website details - and here they are!  The brand new website to accompany this brand new store is here: http://www.inwiththeoldme.com/  Like, share, and spread the word!  It opens tomorrow!

In With The Old is run by Alice, a young, brave, fashionable, creative wonder who uses old crates such as these apple crates (left) and turns them into beautiful shelves to put up in your home.  Me and my husband are moving to Oxford in the Autumn, and I can't wait to decorate the place with a few of her items.  Check out these adorable pieces she also sells:

This is a silver plated message board (left)  - with rosebud magnets!  Eeeee.  So sweet.  This is very in line with the style of the shop - cute and creative ways to use items a bit differently, and give your home a 'cottage chic' feel!

And my favourite item (right) has to be the antique cutlery hooks.  Beautiful silver spoons bent for you to hang your jacket!  In addition to this, there are also 13 other makers that feature their own handmade and beautiful items in the shop, ranging from sweeet stitched fabric teacups to funky rocket jewllery.

My own items featured in the shop are layed out on one of Alice's own apple crate shelves - mostly my bookshelf necklaces, but some tea pot earrings and a few sushi items too.  I hope people like them!

If you go to the site you can print out a coupon and receive 10% off, and it's good until the 31st of May - when you're in and around London, I hope you stop by and see my (and Alice's, and the other makers') items!

Coryographies at In With The Old!

I'm very pleased to share that my items are now being sold at an adorable vintage/handmade/reclaimed shop in Islington, London called In With The Old!  It opens its doors to the public on Thursday.

I'll be sharing the website and doing my part to market this amazingly pretty shop, which now has a little shelving unit (make from reclaimed apple crates!) full of my jewellery items!

The grand opening celebration will be taking place on May 9th, which is - coincidentally - my birthday!

If anyone is in the London area and is curious to check out this fabulous new shop, the address is 57 Amwell Street - 10 minutes walk from either King's Cross or Angel tube stations.

I promise some photos soon, and the address to the new website for In With The Old's shop!

Cory is a fan: I'm Your Present

I came across a really unique Etsy shop today called I'm Your Present, which included this amazing top which I now really really desire to own:

Fantastic, isn't it?  Especially as the piece across the backside says 'rump'!  I believe my cook of a husband would appreciate it.

But there's plenty more adorable pieces from this shop.  Here are some of my favourites:

New for Spring: Gardener's Shelf Necklace

Introducing a brand new bookshelf necklace!  This one is inspired by the Spring season and the fact that I really want to learn how to garden:

Isn't it cute?  It contains lots of cute little handmade polymer clay items such as seed packets, a tomato and a book titled 'Spring' on the first shelf, a bunch of tools and a pair of gloves on the second, and a trug full of garden goodies on the bottom.  A perfect gift for someone who loves gardening.

Now that it's April I wanted to introduce this new Spring-y item - tomorrow I will be rolling out this month's special discount.  And stay tuned for another giveaway to be starting soon as well!  Watch this space! :)
